Batman @ E3 2016 Recap

Fans of the caped crusader have a lot to look forward to after E3 2016. First of all, we have Arkham VR. Although the trailer didn’t show us much, several insiders got a chance to play the game during E3. When the demo starts the player gets to be Bruce Wayne inside Wayne Manor, the game is in first person view so you get to experience the mansion from his point of view and even getting a chance to look at yourself in the mirror. Then you get to put on the cowl and catch a brief glimpse of Batman’s belt. Next, you have a chance to solve a crime as Batman, waving your move controller around to use your scanner to attempt to solve a crime.

All in all the game is supposedly going to be an hour long with maybe an hour of finding easter eggs afterwards. Even though this just sounds like a tech demo more so than an actual game, i’m very excited to see what Rocksteady has in store for us with Arkham VR and it’s one of the main reasons i’m looking at the PSVR over the Rift or the Vive.

Next We have Telltale’s Batman series. I’m interested to see what Telltale has to bring to Batman. The game is going to be a mix between Batman fighting crime and Bruce Wayne’s life, which we typically don’t get to see in Batman comics and games. I don’t want to get to deep into the story for people who don’t like spoilers but the game begins with Batman catching Catwoman trying to steal a hard drive with important data which results in this interesting screenshot.

The game is going to be broken up into a 5 part series, ¬†with each episode lasting between 90-120 minutes. Down below I have teaser trailers for both games and a gallery of screenshots from Telltale’s Batman. Which game are you more excited for? Will Arkham VR entice you to buy a PSVR if you weren’t planning on it already? Let me know in the comments!
